About Baseball

Central Kansas Crushers Baseball began in the fall of 2012.  Boys from Central Kansas, including McPherson, Inman, Canton, Galva, Little River, and Roxbury came together and formed the first 10U Crushers Baseball Team.  Our four volunteer coaches spent the winter of 2012 and spring of 2013 preparing the team for their first season by working on fundamentals, sportsmanship, and accountability.

With a successful first year and the interest shown from the Central Kansas area, we expanded our program to four age groups:  8U, 9U, 11U, and 12U boys.   Tryouts were held in August, 2013 for the 2014 season.  Unfortunately, we did not have enough 10 year old boys to form a team for the 2013-14 season. Practices started within a few weeks after tryouts.  All Crushers teams practiced throughout the winter and started tournament play early in April, 2014.

The tryouts in August of 2013 had proven that our footprint of the Academy was beginning to spread throughout Central Kansas.  The Crushers have no geographic limit to how far someone has to travel and play.  The Academy knows there are many untapped resources of baseball talent within in our area.  We welcome any boy who is interested in playing competitive baseball to our tryouts.

Our baseball program includes:  8U, 9U, 10U, 11U, 12U, (2) 14U teams.  We are happy to announce we have added 15U to season 2016-17 plus we have an 18U showcase team.  Tryouts for the 2016-17 season were held in mid August, 2016 at 365 Sports Complex Training Facility.  If you missed our tryouts, but are interested in the Crushers, please notify us through our online baseball tryouts registration form.  Private tryouts will be held throughout 2016, if players are needed.
